Each laboratory has designated PCR workstation divided into three areas to avoid contamination.

1. The first room for nucleic acid (DNA and RNA ) extraction from clinical samples with own devices, micropipettes, positive–displacement pipettes, biosafety cabinet, refrigerator, freezer and dry heat block/water bath, separate tubes are used for aliquoting of samples.

2. The second room for Master mix preparation, where all the reaction components necessary for the PCR amplification are mixed together

3. The third area is Amplification room for confirmation of PCR products. Amplification are done with Qiagen Real-time PCR instrument.

4. PCR-cabinet are maintained under negative pressure to prevent escape of infectious agent outside of the room.

5. A long buffer zone and all rooms of PCR laboratory are equipped with short wave ultraviolet lamps. Laminar airflow safety cabinets ensure safety of the personnel working with gloves and disposable gowns. Air pressure are maintained with unidirectional workflow with HVAC ventilation systems.

6. The skilled molecular lab scientists performs all the tests according to the SOPs.
